Tama Hills

A couple of weeks ago Shane had a few days off so we went to Tama Hills Recreation Area. It's a military get-away about 45 minutes from here. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing weekend as a family.

Lodging
The cabin we stayed in.

Pony Ride Jayden was on cloud 9 the whole time. Tia wouldn't ride it, so Jayden got to ride twice-he was super excited!

Miniature GolfingGoofing around while waiting for dad to come with the golf clubs.

For some reason Tia kept touching the gorilla's rear end. She thought it was so funny that it's bum was painted on...silly girl!

Evening FunThere was this cool little loft in our cabin that the kids couldn't get enough of. I about had a heart attack every time they came near the railings, but they had a blast.

Each of us brought a game to play and the kids made us climb up into the loft each night and play ALL of the games. It was fun to see how excited they were to just hang out and play games as a family. We love these kiddos.

Here's Jayden trying SMORES for the 1st time. This is a BIG thing for him because he is our PICKY eater (like his mom) and he gags and throws up when he doesn't agree with a certain texture (hey, sounds a lot like me again). His pickiness is not entirely his fault...or I should say my fault. He's had a milk allergy ever since he was born so he couldn't eat very many things containing milk (chocolate, cheese, milk, yogurt) for his first 2-3 years of life. Now he can eat milk in small amounts without having any major reactions. But, since he went 3 years without trying many things...we actually have to TRY to get him to eat delicious goodies & yummy food. Crazy little kid, but we love him to pieces!

Fun, Fun, Fun! Isn't it great to be able to get out and do these fun things every so often! Your kids look so happy as well as Shane, we want to see more pictures of Amy! :) I know, the mom is the one always taking the pictures right.
