Someone Needed a Haircut!

We tried growing Jayden's hair out thinking that it would look cute all long and scraggly....well, the scraggly part was true, but it just wasn't working long...his hair isn't thick enough. So, we are back to the buzz top.

Tia in a Box

Tia cracks us up. The box on the left has become "her toy box"(meaning they are toys for younger kids) and the box she's sitting in is "Jayden's toy box" (toys for bigger kids). They share all of their toys, but I think she realizes that Jayden is more possessive about the toys in "his" box.

Anyways, Tia was quietly playing with some random toys when I took Jayden upstairs for about 2 minutes to do his hair. I'm sure she knew that we wouldn't be gone long, because she must have immediately dropped her toy and darted for "Jayden's toy box", threw out all of the toys, and then climbed in.

I can just picture her being so excited to play with all of his toys when he wasn't there to stop her or fight her for them. When we came back this is what it looked like...she thought she was so funny sitting in that box with Jayden's toys strung out all over the room! Wouldn't you love to be little again!

We LOVE Disneyland!!!

This last Sunday Jayden told us that he wanted to get up and speak at the pulpit in Sacrament Meeting. So I said to him..

ME: "Do you want to get up next week and share your feelings on fast Sunday"

JAYDEN: "Yes"

ME: "You can say....I love Jesus....I love my mom and dad....I love Tia..."

JAYDEN: "Oh...and I love go Disneyland....and bless me go to Disneyland with my mom, dad, and Tia"

Needless to say we will not be getting up on fast sunday so that Jayden can bless himself to go to Disneyland.

EVERY SINGLE prayer ANY of us say HAS to include blessing him to go to Disneyland. This has been going on for a few months now! I don't know what he's going to do when we move next year and he can't go to Disneyland all of the time!

Girls Weekend Out

For those of you that might not know my family there are 8 of us plus our parents. Shanna and Launa are my sisters and we have 5 brothers. This was our first COMPLETE Girls Weekend Out. Everyone is married now, so this is us! I just love our family! I have to say that my brothers all married VERY well (and my sisters did too). It was fun having some time to get to know all of my brother's wives better. I can't wait till our next Girls Weekend Out :) We love you boys, but absolutely NO husbands, kids, or GOLF TOURNAMENTS next time-he he!

We started off with a little shopping in Las Vegas

Afterwards we enjoyed a wonderful dinner & many FABULOUS desserts at Claim Jumper.

Next, we had a MUCH NEEDED day at the Spa in St. George. Utah.

Then it was like Christmas. My mom gave each of us file boxes full of family Journals & Genealogy records, Emergency Preparedness packets, our first Atkin Family Recipe Book (thanks mom & Launa-it's AWESOME), little blue Miracle Balls that help relax your body, and tons of home spa products(lotions, hair products, scrubs, candles, etc., etc.) so that we can relax often in our own homes.

Don't you just love families! I am so glad that they are FOREVER!!!

I have to THANK my awesome husband for taking the kids to Las Vegas for 3 days while I was gone. I love you Shane!!! Thanks for giving me a GREAT weekend (I even got to sleep in until 9:00 a.m. on 2 of the days-that made my weekend right there)! You are the best Shane!

Bonnie Hunt Show...AGAIN!

Yes, that's right....my friends and I went to the Bonnie Hunt Show for a SECOND time! I know...I'm a nerd! It just happened that we got VIP tickets the night before (because they had my email from going the first time) and it was a Give-Away Show, so my friends and I decided to go again just in case they gave away a big TV, a car (ha ha) or something way fun. Well, we didn't get our TV or car, but it was still fun! We did get the first season of Pushing Daisies though (has anyone ever watched that-I saw one show once and thought it was a little strange-oh well).

Anyways, the show we just went to airs TOMORROW (Tuesday, Sept. 9th)-check the link above to see what time it airs in your area. I don't know if you'll see us on THIS show. We are sitting right next to the band and I am wearing a black shirt with my hair down.
