The results are in...

Shane just got his NATIONAL Veterinary Board Exam results back and....HE PASSED!!! (If you've been reading our blog and are thinking..."wait, I thought he already passed"..he did, but that was the CALIFORNIA State Board Exams-you have to pass both to be able to practice). All he has left is two 1 month long rotations and then graduate. I am so proud of him...he has worked SO hard these last 4 years!

Here comes the Vet...

Monsters, Inc's Biggest Fan

In the 2 years we've had Disneyland passes we have never seen Sulley (from Monsters, Inc.)....UNTIL last week!!! Here are some pictures to help remind you how much Jayden is obsessed with Sulley.

This is him for Halloween (he would wear this everyday if I'd let him).
Here he is with most of his Monsters, Inc toys.

And here he is last week...

He couldn't have been happier! Shane and I were even totally excited!

My Guitar Heros

These two are always trying to find something to do to entertain themselves. This week it was Guitar Hero and now Jayden can't stop talking about it! He thinks his DAD and now Guitar Hero...are the coolest things in the world! Watch our little Rock Star below.

JAPAN here we come!!!

It's official...we are moving to JAPAN for our 1st assignment with the military! We couldn't be more excited!!! For those of you who may not know...Shane served his mission in Japan and I served mine in Taiwan...so we cannot wait to go back there (it's been almost 9 years)!

We will be on the Yokota Air Base which is 30 miles outside of Tokyo. We will be moving there this July and our assignment is for 3 years. We don't have any other details, but will definitely post them as we find out.

If anyone has any advice or knows anything about the area we would love to hear it!

Our Christmas Vacation 2008

Christmas Eve at my parents house
(St. George, Utah).
Every year Grandma Atkin picks out Christmas Pajamas for the whole family and we take a family photo.

Here are a few "fun" ones from previous years-enjoy:)!

2003-wow!

1996-should I admit that this is my family?

1995

1989

1987

It snowed on Christmas Eve. This is a big deal to those of us from St. George. I can only remember a few times that it's actually snowed(especially ON Christmas).

Our 1st WHITE Christmas!
(at least until it melted a few hours later)

All Tia wanted to do was EAT the snow.

I know we must sound like nerds calling this snow....I mean...we couldn't even make a snowman. But, we did make snowballs and threw them at each other :)

My dad is a MASTER CHEF when it comes to making breakfast! Here he is making his famous ABC omelettes (Eggs, Bacon, & Cheese...not quite sure how the e on eggs turned into an A, but nonetheless they are the BEST!)

Notice the concentration...this is not an easy thing to do-trust me!

Here's Tia watching Jayden open HER presents.

Jayden taking a picture of ME taking a picture of HIM with his new camera he got from Grandma & Grandpa Atkin.

Tia was having a "sweet" hair day on Christmas that just wouldn't go away no matter what we did!

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without John Ross Hurst coming to play the piano for us. For as long as I can remember Ross has come over every Christmas Eve and given us our own little Christmas Concert. He tells stories and sings many fun Christmas songs. Our family looks forward to this every year!

December is a big birthday month in the Atkin family. Jayden, Carson, Grandma Atkin, Lauren, Uncle James, & Connor all have birthday's within 2 weeks of each other.

Here are a few pictures of some of the parties.

Mom & James blowing out their cake at the William's (my sister) Annual Pizza Party.

Caelan & Connor "RAPPING" happy birthday to Grandma & James.

Connor's birthday party

We had a fun time playing lots of games on New Years Eve with the cousins

We also hung out with our cousins over at Grandma & Grandpa Andrews' house (which is 3 blocks from Grandma & Grandpa Atkin's house).

Making Gingerbread men with Grandma Andrews

We had a BLAST with all of our family, but definitely missed those that couldn't make it! We love you all! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Mini Golfers

Shane was out golfing with my dad & brothers so I thought I'd take the kids and go miniature golfing. Well, these two are little cheaters...they must have learned from their Uncles :)

Christmas Card 2008

We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! We've had a blast reading all your Christmas cards and seeing your cute pictures!

If you didn't get our card this year it's probably because we can't find your address, so please let me know and we would love to add you to our address book for next year!
I can't forget to mention that my friend Christina Willardson took these cute pictures!
