Dinosaur Museum

While in Utah we took the kids to the Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum. We had a great time! Here are a few pics.

Shane's b.day Part 2

Shane's birthday gift from me (and my family) was a little weekend getaway....all by ourselves...no kids!!! This was the first time we've left our kids for more than just a few hours. Thanks Joe and Jamie for watching them...they had a blast with you guys!

Shane and I felt like we were on our honeymoon again...it was SOOO AWESOME!!!

1st Day

Shopped, ate, & went to the movies at the Gateway Mall in Utah.

(DO NOT see Knowing---way LAME ending!!!)

Had a fabulous stay at the Marriott! THANKS SO MUCH MOM & DAD--it couldn't have been any better!!!

2nd Day Went SNOWBOARDING at Snowbird all day Saturday-WHAT A BLAST-we felt like we were in highschool again! I actually hadn't been since highschool (yeah...that's 12 1/2 years-WOW) and this was Shane's 1st time. When we got to the top of the hill we sat there for about 10 minutes because we both didn't dare go down :0. It would have been funny to watch us that day. We are both a little bruised and sore, but we had an ABSOLUTE AWESOME time! Shane, you are a natural!

Happy 29th Birthday Shane!

My dear hubby turned 29 last week! I don't get very many chances to publicly tell others how awesome he is..so I'm going to jump on this opportunity. Sorry if it's sappy, but our kids need to know how awesome their dad is (our blog is their journal).

Shane is EVERYTHING I could possibly hope for in a husband!!! He is so perfect for me! One reason I fell in love with him is because he has unconditional love for everyone. He has always loved others despite their looks, status, popularity, etc. If anyone has ever seen me in the morning I can look pretty...umm... scary:), but Shane has never looked at me any differently. I love that he loves me no matter what I look like...morning, noon, night, pregnant, post pregnant :0, etc. Shane also always makes time for US. It is so important to him that he and I spend time together even if it just means watching a movie or making Oreo shakes :) together when the kids fall asleep.

Shane is an AWESOME dad!!! Jayden and Tia just can't get enough of him. Shane is a fabulous story teller, fort builder, wrestler, horse :), and friend. The kids love it when dad gets to go with us somewhere. He devotes every evening & weekend just to the kids & I. He waits till they go to bed before he does any of his homework or projects.

He is an AMAZING Vet! I am so proud of how hard he has worked these last 6 years so that he can support our family. He has been very dedicated to becoming a good vet! I love seeing how happy he is about the profession that he has chosen! It makes me happy to know that he loves what he is doing!

I could go on forever, but I better stop here before I get in trouble for saying all of this..he he! Shane I love you!!! Thanks for who you are!

Rocker Pictures

The kids went and had some pictures taken with their cousins back in January. This year we decided to do a Rocker theme. So here are our little Rockers!

The Jardines & Laguna Beach

A few weeks ago some friends of ours came to California and we were able to visit with them at Laguna beach. Ryan & Sonnie Jardine were good friends of ours at BYU (they also both served in my mission-I was companions with Sonnie). We used to play games with them back in Provo...we especially loved playing "Settlers of Catan" ...until we decided that game wasn't good for our marriage (some of you might understand how competitive it gets). Anyways, we had a blast getting together with them again and just hanging out.

The last time we saw them they had 1 kid and we had 0. Here's a picture of what we all look like now....

"The Coolest Mom"

I was making lunch the other day and listening to Jayden make up this song and realized....I better get this on camera because when else is my kid going to sing me a song like this! Thanks for still thinking I'm cool after me always yelling "STOP JAYDEN, DON'T JAYDEN, NO" or after ALL of the times you & your toys have been put in Time Out! You are a sweet boy and have a lot to teach me! Oh....how I love you Jayden!

I thought we'd go outside and have fun jumping in the puddles of water, but of course my kids found the MUD instead! Although the clean-up was the pits, the kids had a BLAST!

Then, Jayden's boot fell off and he used it to pour mud all over Tia's face.

Who's that you say......he is the inventor of the jigsaw puzzle!

We had NO IDEA Jayden could put a jigsaw puzzle together by himself. Jayden will sit at the kitchen table and put these puzzles together (without screaming, hitting, or yelling-for the most part) over and over again!!! The BEST part about the whole thing is.... HE'S NOT BEATING UP TIA!!!! (that's why John is now our best friend). We have actually had some peace & quiet around the house! I'm probably jinxing myself by posting this-I hope not!

Tia's Obsession!

DOGS...DOGS....DOGS...and more DOGS!

Tia's current and only obsession is DOGS! She hardly says anything (literally), but "ruff, ruff". Every morning when I go and get her out of her crib she is barking and pointing to all the dogs in her crib. Oh how we wish we could get a dog right now!!! Hopefully in just a few more months!

The results are in...

Shane just got his NATIONAL Veterinary Board Exam results back and....HE PASSED!!! (If you've been reading our blog and are thinking..."wait, I thought he already passed"..he did, but that was the CALIFORNIA State Board Exams-you have to pass both to be able to practice). All he has left is two 1 month long rotations and then graduate. I am so proud of him...he has worked SO hard these last 4 years!

In the 2 years we've had Disneyland passes we have never seen Sulley (from Monsters, Inc.)....UNTIL last week!!! Here are some pictures to help remind you how much Jayden is obsessed with Sulley.
